Group Leader Positions
Institut Curie, Paris
The Physico Chimie Curie (PCC) unit at the Institut Curie is recruiting outstanding young scientists for independent Research Group Leader positions.
The PCC unit is a research department gathering physicists, chemists and biologists interested in the study of the physical principles underlying the architecture and functions of living systems. We encourage applications in all areas complementary to our current research portfolio. New investigators with interest in the biophysics of nuclear organization and functions, the biophysics of multicellular systems, or in the use of microfabrication technologies in biological research are especially welcome.
The department benefits from the highly stimulating scientific environment offered by an internationally renowned cancer research institute combining fundamental and clinical research centers and easy access to many technology platforms, and from its close proximity in central Paris to other major research. An initial start up package will be provided to allow competitive candidates to apply for grant funding and permanent positions within French research institutions (CNRS, INSERM, University).
Motivated candidates should submit a personal statement explaining why you are interested in joining the Institut Curie, a 3-4 page research plan, a full CV detailing publications, patents, invited conferences, awards, grants, training and teaching experience, and contact details of 3-5 individuals who can be contacted for reference letters. The complete application should be submitted at: https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/7817. Applications will be accepted until December 4, 2016. Pre-selected candidates will be invited for interviews on February 2-3, 2017.
