A two-years post-doctoral position is currently available in the laboratory of Chemistry, Modelling and Imaging for Biology (CMIB) In the team of Dr. Marie-Paule Teulade-Fichou (http//CMIB.curie.fr) Institut Curie. The laboratory is located at the research center of the Institut Curie on the campus of Orsay (Paris-Saclay University- south of Paris, France).
Job description: The candidate will be working on the chemistry and chemical biology of compounds interacting with G-quadruplex nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) in the aim developing new probes and anticancer drugs.
Eligibility: The candidate must hold a PhD in organic chemistry/chemical biology with experience in the design and biophysical measurements of drug/DNA interactions. Background in optical spectroscopy (fluorescence and UV-vis) and in fluorescence imaging in cells would be welcome. The candidate should be a highly motivated person able to work independently. He/she will have the opportunity to develop advanced laboratory skills through access to the core facilities of the Institut Curie (https://science.institut-curie.org/platforms/) and through work in collaboration with teams in France and abroad.
